Every year, FRONT of HOUSE honors regional sound production companies with their Hometown Hero award. This award honors the best regional sound production company in each of six regions across North America: the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Northwest, Southwest, and Canada. After nominations are closed, regional finalists are named and voting begins. This process narrows down the 36 companies to the six regional winners (one from each region). The six regional winners are then in the running for the sole honor of being named Hometown Hero Sound Company of the Year. The winners appear on the Parnelli Awards ballot for voting in November. Lastly, Parnelli voting determines which of the six finalists will be presented with the Parnelli Award for Hometown Hero - Sound Company of the Year. This takes place at the awards dinner set for January 24, 2026, in conjunction with the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA.
